When should I ask them to take a Hair Drug Test??

• Well not on the First Date obviously! That would make you seem unnecessarily prudish. But by the end of the Second, Third. or Fourth Date you should have a feel for whether or not your relationship has legs.
• If a relationship doesn't look like it is in the cards for the two of you, then don't bother to ask them to take the test... if you are just going to end the relationship then there is no need to spend the money to find out and thus no need to ask.
• If you do think that you both want to pursue the relationship further then it is time to ask! No need to be coy... at the end of dinner on that Second, Third, or Fourth Date just put a the Hair Test box (you have to buy it from us first) on the table and tell them "If you agree that this thing of ours is going well then before it gets more serious I have a favor to ask..." Let them ponder the idea.

Won't they object?

Of course! The question is how hard do they they object. No doubt they will be surprised. But if they object too hard then you may have your answer without having to make them take the test. Most adults have to undergo drug testing for their employers at some point so this really shouldn't be much of an issue... unless it is an issue!

If they are resistant, simply say "I will take one if you will take one." If they still refuse, then you have your answer.

Is the hair test how the military tests for drug use?

No, the military services (and indeed most employers) use a Urinalysis screening process. However that is only good for 30 days for most drugs and less for others... which is why the military constantly tests its service members. We recommend the Hair Drug Test because it covers a longer period of time. Plus nothing kills romance like having to watch your new love interest pee into a little cup!

What about Alcohol abuse?

Most alcoholics have no idea that they have a problem with alcohol until the problems can no longer be denied. There are breathalyzer machines and saliva tests you can give... but the easiest way to know if someone you are dating has an alcohol problem is to watch how they handle themselves on your first few dates. If they routinely drink to excess (more than two or three drinks in an evening) then they definitely have a problem. Granted dating someone new is a little bit stressful but if they cannot handle that little bit of stress without hitting the bottle, how will they handle real problems that come up in life? Don't listen to their excuses (i.e. everyone was drinking, I didn't have that much to drink, I am fine...)... pay attention instead to their actions and choices when it comes to alcohol use!
